Moncton Invitational Meet Fees

Woodstock Meet

Hello parents and swimmers,

I would like to start by saying that the Woodstock Swim Meet this weekend was a huge
success for all our swimmers. We had a number of swimmers that were attending their
first meet and despite lots of butterflies and nerves they did fantastic and had a great time. Every
swimmer that attended the meet also will be receiving one or more best time ribbons as
they all set new PBS (personal best times) and achieved new time standards. Congratulations to all!!!! I
would also like to thank all parents that helped officiate at the meet, WVST really
appreciated your help.

There are couple notes I would like to make in regards to this and any future swim
meet. First off, due to the large numbers of FAST swimmers at the swim meet there were
a number of T-shirts that were misplaced and/or forgotten. I would like to ask everyone
to please go through your swim gear and ensure that everything belongs to you and your
swimmer. If you have any extra gear please let us know. For future swim meets we would
also like to ask that you please write your swimmers name in or on any and all
equipment. This will help make finding all lost or misplaced gear easier to find.
Monica and the other coaching staff did pick up a few items that were forgotten at the
pool. If you did forget something this weekend, please see her at 3:30 and any AG3
swimmers please let Dom know so she can get you your items.

The other comment I would like to make is in regards to the state of the deck was left
after the swim meet. Our club and swimmers were invited to swim and the facility. As
we and you would expect leaving garbage behind make the club look bad. I would ask that
you please remember that although we do travel to other pools around the province we
should treat them as or own. Please respect any and all facilities that we use.

Winter Clothing Order

Hi Folks,

 

I have attached the Winter Clothing order. We have a smaller order at this time. The Landmark Microfleece hoodies for the girls and jackets for the boys are new. They will be available to see at the parent meetings this week. The extra small size is equivilant to a youth large. Unfortunately, we only have one jacket and one hoodie for sizing...

Officials for Woodstock

Parents going to Woodstock meet.

 

The meet management asked me to pass on a message that they are desperately looking for level 2 officials who could help out at the meet to make sure we have a great meet for our swimmers. They are a small club with a lot less fewer swimmers and therefore officials who can run a meet. If you are able to give them a hand please do so and your generosity will be much appreciated.

Long Course Training Info and Pack

Please find attached the revised information on the Long Course Training camp February 26 - 28 2010.  The camp will be run as a parent supported camp.  The fee will be 65.00 for attendance to any or all of the training sessions.  The Hilton rooms will be offered to parents at a rate of $99.00 per night.  Reservation information is in the information document.  Please note that the hotel rooms must be booked before February 1st in order to get the special rate. 

 

Swimmers wishing to attend the camp should  send a completed medical form and letter of commitment along with a cheque for $65.00 to Swimming New Brunswick.  The openings for the camp are limited and will be on a first come first served basis.

Woodstock Swim Meet Fimal List

This memo is for all swimmers (as per the list below) participating in the Woodstock Swim Meet this upcoming Saturday January 23.
 
Please have your payments submitted no later than Friday 4:30 pm.  Payments should be in the form of a cheques payable to FAST and can be dropped off in the FAST box located in the pool deck office.
 
Please confirm with your coaches when you should arrive on the pool deck.  I would encourage all parents to attend the parent information meeting on Friday January 22 at 3:30.

Short Course East Coast Champs

I would like to bring to your attention that Short Course East Coast Championship this year is scheduled at the end of our March Break ( March 5-7 in PEI). I would ask all swimmers and families interested in attending to respond to me directly with their intention of going to the meet so I can plan and make arrangements. This meet has East Coast standards, please check with your coach to confirm if you made the standard.
Shortly I'll be providing an updated meet schedule for the next part of our season.
