The Spring session will be run April 5th to June 9th 2011.

Practice times:

Fishes-Tues and Thur 6:30-7:15pm

Fishes Advanced-Tues and Thur 7:15pm-8:30pm, Sat 3-4pm

All returning swimmers pay only swim fee- Fishes $150, Fishes Adv $200.

Swimmers new to the program pay registration swim fee (as above) plus insurance fee (50% off ).

Limited number of spaces available, registration first come bases

Swimmers who are going to MLTC meet are invited to Team practice on Sunday April 3rd 3-5pm.

Outstanding Balances

 Hi Folks,

Our  treasurer, Ron Richards, is updating the Fast Family accounts. We have few families with outstanding balance on their accounts. He will be in touch with those families in the next few days. If your swimmer's account balance is not paid off by April 1st, the swimmer will not be allowed to attend practices or meets until the balance is paid.

FAST Fun meet for swimmers age 10 & under HELP!!!

 

This is another cry for HELP, as we did not get a lot of responses last time.

 

Please respond TODAY, do not wait for tomorrow, we need to hear from you!

 

Please do not think there are a lot of others who are going to help, we need YOUR help!

 

 

We NEED:

 

1) at least 3 canteen workers

 

2) at least 4 hospitality workers

 

3) timers and other officials

 

4) prizes donations

 

If YOUR child is swimming at the meet, we NEED YOU!

 

Help from anybody else is also very welcome!

 

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Attached is the description of manpower required to run one swim meet. There is a clinic for timers organized for next Saturday, March 26 where you can learn a lot about it. It is not difficult, anybody can do it! Please make effort to attend.

We are in dire need of Timers. We require 3/lane or a total of 18. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Please come out and help.

Upper Extremity Data Collection

Hey Marta,

 

As of today I'm starting the lab portion of my own research on creating an Upper Extremity database and comparing Upper Extremity movement in young adults to paediatrics.

 

I was wondering if you know of anyone on the swim team ages 7 to 9 who would be able to volunteer to be a subject. This would require about an hour and a half of their time (after the march break) performing eight Activities of Daily Living tasks. The data collected from these tasks will allow me to see how the Upper Extremity works first off, how it works as a function of age secondly, and the data will be very important in helping with the future treatment of patients with Cerebral Palsy and Prosthetics.

 

If you know of anyone interested in helping me out, please email me back. Would you be able to send this out to anyone on the team who might have 7 to 9 year olds or may put me in contact with people who do. Also, if you are interested in learning more about the study, do not hesitate to ask me.

Sign up for Fun Meet April 2, 2011 at UNB (swimmer and parent)
 

Meet date: April 2nd, 2011

Time: warm up 10:15am, race 11:00am

Location: UNB POOL

Fees: $30.00 payable to FAST, checks only. If your swimmer is in one of the Novice groups your account will be credited.

 

To register your swimmer to participate in this swim meet please reply to this email. All swimmers participating in the meet must have a parent at the meet to help out with officiating. No experience necessary.
Deadline response is March 19th, Saturday at 9pm.
A swimmer needs to be 10 years old or younger on the day of the meet to be able to participate in the meet. 

This meet is strongly suggested for all swimmers in Novice groups and Fishes and Fishes Advanced program.

For all parents of Marianne Limpert Team Champs qualifiers.
Please note that 35 rooms have been reserved at the Best Western Hotel
located at 280 Boulevard Hebert, Edmundston, NB E3V 0A3
Booking dates: April 14 until 17
Room rates:  $110 per night
Type:  25 rooms with 2 Queen beds and 10 rooms with 1 King bed  (25 rooms
were booked a long time ago but the additional 10 rooms were requested just
this March as the numbers of kids qualifying for the meet increased. At that
time, only King bed rooms were available. The reservations will be set as
first come first serve.  The owner also owns another hotel (I believe the
Days Inn) and he may be able to book some rooms with double beds at that
hotel if still available at the time of your call.
Booking expiry date: March 21, 2011
Complimentary breakfast as well as microwave and fridge in each room.
 It is understood that team members (families) are responsible for making
their individual reservations.  Please call  506-739-0000 or Toll free:
1-888-735-0001 to reserve.
 All reservations must be made under the Fredericton Aquanauts Swim Team -
FAST and a Credit Card number is required to guarantee each room.
Every reservation must be called in by end of day March 21st in order to
