Attention Officials

fast_header3.png

New Brunswick Officials attending Marianne Limpert:
>

>
> The NBOC is arranging to run a Para-swimming Officials clinic between heats
> and finals on Friday and Saturday at Marianne Limpert.  Jocelyn McLean of
> Gatineau Quebec, a level 5 and very experience para-swimming official will
> be giving the clinic, and will be available during some of the weekend to
> mentor stroke officials for para events.  The clinic is about 4 hours long
> (I caution that predicting the length of clinics cannot be done accurately),
> so I propose to divide it into two sessions.
>

>
> We are quite fortunate to have an official of Jocelyn's caliber at the meet,
> and I would encourage any officials who are certified in stroke and turns to
> attend the clinic. Currently only myself, Gary Moore and Mark Sears have
> done an less recent version of this clinic, and this is not enough for a
> province of our size.
>

>
> I will confirm the location for the clinic on Friday morning, but Jocelyn is
> staying at the Best Western and I hope to hold it there.
>

>
> This is important if we wish to develop para swimming in the province, for
> the coverage of Para-officiating is not complete in the officials rule book.
>

>
> You do not have to confirm your attendance, but if you are able to confirm
> to me at pberry@mta.ca, I can get a better idea of what numbers to expect.

fast_header3.png

It seems my son switched sweatshirts with someone at the 10 and under meet. It's a  FAST black zip-up hoodie with Goodyear embroidered on it. The one we brought back has no name but does have a ?witch hazel scent on it if that helps. It would be great to have it back for the meet this weekend. Please call Jill at 454-3265 or email jillgoodyear@rogers.com.

Thanks,
Jill

Please confirm for Fast Social Today

fast_header3.png

Tomorrow, April 4th, is the confirmation for the FAST social at Kingswood. Please let me know if you plan to attend so that the appropriate number of lanes can be booked. Once the lanes are booked I'll have a definite cost for each person. This fee is for the bowling itself and food/snacks will be provided. Parents are welcome to attend with their children and choose not to bowl and save that cost. Some parents have inquired if their child can attend without a parent. If you have a younger child that requires direct supervision, they  should be accompanied by an adult due to the large number of attendees and the venue.

Thank you,

Jill Goodyear
