Upcoming Swimmer meetings

Swimmers and Parents,

In the next few days we will send out a schedule for Swimmer meetings we would like to do in the next couple of weeks. We would like those meetings to be "Swimmer lead" therefore swimmers should come prepared with 3 questions. Questions should revolve around training, competition, goal setting, technical aspects, etc.  Parents are invited to participate. Please keep in mind meetings are 15-20 min long so be respectful of keeping the timeline in order to accommodate all swimmers. If you have additional questions or need more time please advise the group coach directly.

fast_header5.jpg

Hi Folks,

FAST's End of Year Banquet and AGM will be held at the New Maryland Rec/Community Centre on Tuesday evening, June 19th at 6:30 pm until 8:30pm.  The evening will include a pizza and salad dinner with dessert for families. All food will be provided. There will be outside games & fun awards for swimmers while the AGM is being held for parents.

The AGM portion of the meeting will include: a 'State of the Club' Annual Report; an overview of the new FAST Strategic Plan; Board nominations. We will then enjoy a meal together before ending the evening with the presentation of the FAST swimmer awards for the year.

We will present the FAST Short Course Awards to the top male and female swimmers for each age group, Overall Top Male and Top Female Swimmer of the Year, Coach of the Year, Most Improved Swimmers, Most Inspirational Swimmer, and a new Annual Award: the David Walker Memorial Spirit of the Sport Award.

Please rsvp to this email before June 15. We need to have an idea regarding the amount of pizza that we will need...

Thanks,
Heather

FYI: Dave Johnson Swim camp

Dear Pat Ketterling,

The Cascade Swim Club is once again offering our Dave Johnson Swim Camp for current competitive swimmers. We offer this camp July 30-August 3rd and again August 27th-August 30th. These camps are a great opportunity for swimmers to be coached by our senior level staff and improve on their swimming technique. The camp includes two days of video feedback and analysis as well as swim, dryland and classroom components. The July 30-August 3rd week follows Age Group Nationals so swimmers can stay in Calgary an additional week and come to this camp. I have attached an information sheet for any one interested.

Thank you very much!

AGM weekend Schedule and Club Development Day information and Schedule

Hello Club Presidents and Coaches.

Please find attached the 2012 AGM weekend schedule and information on our first Annual Club Development Day.

I hope every club in the province can take advantage of this great opportunity to receive current, relevant information and have the opportunity to network with the other provincial club representative.  It would be great if every club could send at least one representative from their Board and their Coaching staff.  Any member of your club is welcome and encouraged to come.  Parents of swimmers attending the top ten camp are especially encouraged to participate.

Please distribute this information to your clubs members.

I would very much appreciate if the club presidents could drop me a quick line regarding a rough idea of the expected participants from their clubs.

Thanks very much.  Please contact me if you have any questions at all.
