Year Book

Hello swimmers and parents,

With the help of a few swimmers from the Senior Group we would like to put a year book together for all of the swimmers from Novice, Age Groups, and Senior groups. As I can not be at all the meets and parents normally catch some of the most memorable moments of their swimmer/s on camera I am requesting from all parents and all groups to send photos they are willing to include in the year book to: Managerfast@gmail.com

It is best to send photos directly after a meet, this way we can compile the pictures as meets finish and will save time processing pictures during the end of the year. However, please feel free to send pictures at anytime so we can add them throughout the year. I would like to start with Photos from 1. Mactaquak 2. Swim-a-thon 3. FAST invitational 4. 12 Nov 12 social event (Or any pictures you feel relevant to send)

Any pictures available would be great, the more pictures we have, the better the memories for the swimmers.

Please note, pictures will be accepted at all times throughout the year. When sending pictures please be sure to add the following Swimmers Name Swimmers Group Event picture was taken at.

Thank you all

Citrus orders due Thursday

FAST Families - I hope your Citrus sales are going well! Due date is Thursday.

REMINDER - your sales order and a personal cheque (or cash) for the full amount of your order needs to be dropped in to the FAST drop off box (in Lifeguard room) by Thursday night. I will be around during Fishes work-out on thursday night between 7 and 815 if you want to drop it into me in the stands.

NOTE: a parent pointed out tonight that the Riverbite Citrus website that I sent around is no longer working. Looks like their domain name expired. Sorry about that. I've let them know it's down.

Good luck!

Parents - Re: Away Swim Meets and Officiating Expectations

"Well folks I must congratulate everyone on their outstanding participation so far this year.

Thank you for all who have come out to help officiate for the Time Trial, Amby and FAST Invitational Meets.

As we venture forth to upcoming away meets please remember to plan to help out.

There are expectations from SwimNB that visiting swim clubs lend a hand with officiating responsiblities when they attend away meets.

I realize that for those parents attending the Premier Meet in Tracadie, Dec 1st, that you may be new to the competitive scene. However, Tracadie is a small club and will need as much help with timing as possible. (Remember you do not need to have any experience to time.) So please offer to help them out, look for the Official's Rm when your child is warming up. Ask for the Official's coordinator and they should ley you know if they need some help.

For those attending the AQUA Invitn "B" standard meet in Campellton, Dec 14, 15 and 16th. Again another small club needing our help. AQUA had a significant number of officials help us at the FAST Invitn.

  Your options of sessions are;

  Fri, session #1 - 4 pm(warmup - time to go to Official's rm)
  Sat am, session #2 - 8 am
  Sat pm, session #3 - 3 pm
> Sun am, session #4 - 8 am
>
** Please contact the AQUA Official's coord to let her know which sessions you are able to help out with - jules_kira@hotmail.com

  For those attending the CNBO Invitn "A" standard meet in Moncton, Dec 14, 15 and 16th the options are as follows;

 Fri, session #1 - 3:30pm
 Sat am, session #2 - 8:30 am
 Sat pm, session #3 - 4 pm
 Sun, session #4 - 9 am

** Please contact Jacinthe LeBlanc the CNBO Official's coordinator with your preferred sessions, position, and if an evaluation is needed - samshe4@yahoo.com

Remember that the swim meets home and away cannot take place without our help. Let's step up and lend a hand.
  Thank you, in advance.

Citrus Info Now on website

FAST Parents,

Details on our Citrus Fundraiser are now on our website – www.swimmingfast.com (always love that website name!)

Wanted to put in perspective for everyone how much selling some citrus to family and friends can help your swimmer account – while I can't be exact because we don't know all our costs just yet, you can expect a return of around 20+% on your sales. So, if you sold $500 worth of citrus – which is about 12 full boxes - you could expect at least a return of $100 to your swimmer account.  Sell $1000 and it's at least $200.  That isn't chump change!

If you're still wondering if this effort is for you – drop me a note and I'll happily take you through it. We'd love to have you involved!

Brent

Thank you note

Hello all,

I would like to send a tremendous thank you to all the volunteers that
came out to support our FAST Invitational Meet this past weekend and
congratulate all of the swimmers on a job well done.  The FAST
Invitational meet was a huge success and could not have gone as smoothly
without all of your efforts!
I would like to personally take this time to acknowledge Marta Belsh and
her coaching staff for all of their hard work this weekend;  Linda Hebb
on a fabulous job well done as the Computer Operator, Linda ensured
attention to detail for all swimmers from start to finish of the meet
which enabled a great swim meet;  Patti Ramsey for all her patience and
attention to detail with ensuring the officials schedule was compiled,
confirmed and all officials spots were allocated to ensure the swim meet
would run efficiently;  Brent Staeban "WOW" for the amazing job you did
on commentating the swim meet and ensuring it was entertaining for the
parents and informative for all in the attendance;  Jayne Jones and her
team of Angela Colford and Yali Meng for the amazing hospitality and
great work for organizing and ensuring all the food donations were
received, prepared and distributed to officials and visiting teams;
Beverly Thibodeau and Sonya Hull for the manning the information table
and selling of programs during the meet.

A huge thank you also to Officials Don, Ruth Hawks and Per for
volunteering their time and overseeing the rules and regulations of the
meet.  You're dedication to the sport of swimming is paramount and it is
our privilege to have your experience and knowledge at our meet!! It was
an honour to work with all of you.

There are so many individuals I would like to personally thank but to
all of the officials/ volunteers who donated your time and food to help
the swim meet run as smoothly as possible THANK YOU!!!  With out all of
your efforts the swim meet would not have run as efficiently/ smoothly
as it did!! All of the support from the FAST families was incredible and
everyone pulled together to show our team spirit!!

Thank you again to everyone, your efforts are truly appreciated.

Citrus Communication Request TODAY

The FAST Citrus Sale ~ Just in time for the Christmas season!

Why this matters to you as a parent (And it does!)

·         This fundraiser is intended to help you and your swimmer. What does that mean? It means that after we pay for the fruit, 90% of the profit from your sales goes to YOUR SWIMMER ACCOUNT (to help pay for swim fees, meet fees, etc.).  The remaining 10% goes to the club to support special projects directly benefiting the swimmers (e.g. new team equipment, etc.)

·         As fundraising goes, this one is pretty easy – you're selling a great product!

SAMPLE 'SALES' EMAIL ATTACHED: Please find attached a document with text that you can cut and paste directly into an email to send out to your contact/client list so the selling part doesn't take much of your time!  All the pertinent information is contained in this sample email.

Key Dates to Remember:

1.     Nov 1 to 15: You take citrus orders from your customers

2.     By Nov 15: Total the orders up & submit your full order with payment to Brent Staeben

3.     Dec 6-8 (TBD): fruit pick-up and disbursement to your customers

The Product

Check out our supplier - http://www.riverbrite.com/

·         We're selling boxes of juicy oranges, grapefruit, and - new this year – tangelos, trucked straight to us from Florida. Historically, quality has been very high. Customer happiness is typically near 100%.

·         The fruit is available in either a full box or half box. A frequent question is "how many in a full box?" This really depends on the growing season but oranges; it can be 48 to 70 pieces and grapefruit; it can be 26 to 44 pieces.

·         The Sale Dates

·        Parents and Swimmers sell to friends and family starting NOW!!  We have included (attachment) a Customer Tracking Sheet to help you keep track of your orders, contact your customers, and make your distribution of product easier.

·        Complete order and full payment must be into Brent Staeben (bstaeben@nbpower.com) by Thursday, November 15th by 7pm

·        Full payment for your entire order must be paid at that time via cheque to 'FAST'. Your customers can either pay beforehand or when they pick up (your choice but we encourage you to collect the money with the customer order).  Note: What you order on November 15th is yours – there are no refunds or changes beyond this date because we as a club have no ability to return the fruit.

The Pick-up

Date and place are still being determined but will most likely be after practice on Thursday night, December 6; evening of Friday, December 7; or morning Saturday, December 8.

Note: You as a parent – or your designate – have to pick up your full order. In the past, we had allowed individual customers to pick up their own order but this was very challenging to administer and track.

The Pricing

Please find order form attached to this email -  this is the summary order form for all your client orders.  You will likely want to keep your client orders in your own spreadsheet or table for money collection and fruit distribution purposes.  Of note, the pricing is the same as last year and there is no HST, so 'the price is the price'.

We wish you a very successful FAST Citrus Sale!!
